Missouri Quilters Portrait Project: Open Hours Announced

We’re thrilled to share that the Missouri Quilter Portrait Project is now hanging in the studio—and we can’t wait for you to see it in person.

Last year we photographed 86 quilters from across Missouri, celebrating the makers who continue to shape our state’s quilting story. This collection honors their artistry, individuality, and connection to a centuries-old tradition that is still alive and thriving today.

Now it’s time to invite you in.

📅 Exhibit Hours

  • September 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th: 2–6p

  • September 13th and 20th: 9a–1p

📍 Salty Hippo Studio
512 Washington Street, Chillicothe, MO

Step inside our historic downtown studio, take in the full wall of portraits, and spend a little time with the faces of Missouri quilting. The shop will also be open, filled with our latest 2025 hand-printed fabric designs (and a few surprise sales for visitors).

Come celebrate the quilters who inspire us all—we’d love to see you there.
